NJ Oil Tank Removal and NJ Oil Tank Replacement
Grant Program
New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) offered Grants and Loans to help New Jersey homeowners who qualify with the cost to remove an underground heating oil storage tank and oil tank replacement with a new above ground heating oil storage tank. There was also a grant for leaking underground heating oil storage tanks. This NJ Oil Tank Removal and NJ Oil Tank Replacement Fund have been offered by the NJEDA since 2006.
On May 3, 2011 the NJEDA made the announcement that the NJ Oil Tank Removal and NJ Oil Tank Replacement Grant are no longer accepting new applications for Non-Leaking tanks due to insufficient funds.he date they are received and hold onto them until sufficient funds become available.
The NJ Oil Tank Leaking Grant co-administered by the NJEDA and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) will continue to accept new applications. The NJDEP will stamp the NJ Oil Tank Leaking applications with the date they are received and hold onto them until sufficient funds become available.

Underground Storage Tank – Leaker
The NJDEP needs a letter from the clients homeowner’s insurance stating there is no coverage for the remediation and/or third party impact in order for the grant to be completed. Tank Solutions recommends that the homeowner file a claim with their insurance company, so we can assist you in filling out the NJ Oil Tank Leaking Grant application.
