Leaking Underground Storage Tanks

What if your tank has holes or fails inspection?      There are four conditions an inspector and our technician will look for once the heating oil tank has been removed from the excavation.

1)      The first is the integrity of the tank, are there any corrosion holes on the tank.

2)      The base of the excavation will be looked at to see if there is any visible soil staining

3)      The excavation will also be inspected for any odors.

4)      The forth is there any groundwater in the excavation with a sheen.

If any one of these conditions is visible on the day of the removal, the heating oil tank will fail inspection. A case number will be called into the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.
